Published: March 3, 2025

NSEA has been supportive of the Nevada Center for Civic Engagement, including supporting SB285 last session. NSEA believes a high-quality public education system is foundational to build and maintain an engaged, democratic society, and a focus on student civic engagement is a critical component in this work. To help facilitate this, NSEA members have used the Center’s We The People program, which includes simulated congressional hearings. This type of hands-on teaching makes the content more engaging and fun for both students and teachers. We ask for your support of SB133
