NSEA supports AB465 (The Safer Act) to close gaps in school anti-harassment laws.

We work to build school communities with cultures of respect and inclusion, where students and staff are free from all forms of harassment.

We support the SAFER Act, AB465, to close gaps in school anti-harassment laws. Harassment in schools can negatively impact students, educators, and the overall learning environment.

When students feel unsafe, it makes it difficult to engage in learning and to participate in school activities. Meanwhile, harassment of educators on the job can lead to anxiety and burnout, poor job performance, and ultimately leaving the profession.

In addition to our Pass the Plan campaign to reach optimal funding of public education, NSEA supports AB465 to create safer and more respectful school communities.
