Memo: NSEA Supports Assembly Bill 434

NSEA supports AB434 to protect employees from being compelled to participate in captive audience meetings, mandatory meetings held by employers during work hours, often used to discourage unionization efforts.

Captive audience meetings are a common tactic in anti-union campaigns and can significantly influence employee opinions through pressure and fear. During these meetings, employers present anti-union views with one-sided messaging and often use carefully worded language to suggest negative consequences of unionization or workplace action. NSEA supports AB464 efforts to ensure employees can make free and informed decisions about things that impact their day-to-day lives. We ask for your support of AB464.
