2007 Legislative Priorities and Program

The 2007 NSEA Legislative Priorities and Program contains the official position of the Association on issues of importance to all NSEA members.  The document is updated every two years through a process that begins with this survey.  Survey results are presented to the NSEA Government Relations Committee which then edits the program and submits it to the Delegate Assembly in the spring for further consideration.  The NSEA Board of Directors then finalizes the document following Delegate Assembly.

The Legislative Program is divided into seven sections:  Funding, Quality Education and Teaching, Enhanced Learning, Parental Involvement and Public Support, High Standards and Accountability for All Students, NSEA and Member Protection, and Collective Bargaining and Legislative Advocacy.
