Program Assistant
Bargaining Unit Position

Closing Date:   Friday, March 3, 2017

Title: Program Assistant

This position supports the NSEA strategic focus of restoring public confidence in public education by providing skilled administrative, secretarial and clerical assistance.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Type, format, proof and distribute correspondence.
• Update and maintain calendar for assigned Professional and Management staff.
• Make travel and meeting arrangements.
• Assist in event planning for conferences.
• Place calls to members and legislators as requested.
• Maintain contact as requested with membership for meeting attendance.
• Coordinate attendance to special governance functions.
• Assist in filing and maintenance of files.
• Perform word processing and data entry duties as assigned.
• Field telephone calls.
• Order office supplies.
• Attend to clerical duties as directed, insuring proper procedures, i.e., reader copies, cc’s, proofing.
• Utilize NEA IMS system to assist in providing membership information as requested.
• Assist with production and preparation of membership materials for annual meetings
• Assist as needed with overflow of other Associate staff and special projects.
• Assist with the implementation of NSEA’s programs and activities as assigned.
• Assist in purchase of supplies related to NSEA functions and Board meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by NSEA management staff.

Salary and Benefits per the NSO-Nevada-NSEA bargaining agreement.

Front Desk Coordinator
Bargaining Unit Position

Closing Date:   Friday, March 3, 2017

Title: Front Desk Coordinator

This position supports the NSEA strategic focus of restoring public confidence in public education by providing skilled administrative and clerical assistance.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide professional customer service at a front desk.
• Ability to multi-task between walk-in clients, staff, and phones. 
• Update and maintain multiple calendar(s).
• Place, receive and route telephone calls and provide professional telephone etiquette.
• Work with outside vendors on maintenance of building.
• Reservations, set up, and maintenance of meeting space, conference calls and association vehicles.
• Assist in filing and maintenance of files.
• Perform word processing and data entry duties as assigned.
• Order and inventory office supplies.
• Handle assembly and distribution of outgoing and incoming mail.
• Utilize NEA IMS system to assist in providing membership information as requested.
• Responsible for office opening and closing procedures.
• Assist as needed with overflow of other Associate staff and special projects.
• Assist with the implementation of NSEA’s programs and activities as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by NSEA management staff.

Salary and Benefits per the NSO-Nevada-NSEA bargaining agreement.
