Helpful Links for H1N1
The CDC is reporting that the widespread reports of flu activity at this time of year are unprecedented for seasonal flu, making it clear that the spread of H1N1 is growing rapidly.
  • U.S. distribution of the H1N1 flu vaccine has begun, and the vaccine has reached every state. However, the amount of vaccine available is less than had been expected, and varies by state and district. Please track the distribution of this vaccine for your state at: http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/vaccination/vaccinesupply.htm.
  • Many sanitizers, disinfectants, and other cleaning products used in schools contain chemicals that can be irritating or toxic to children, and may contaminate indoor air. We suggest a visit to EPA’s guide to Green Cleaning (www.epa.gov/epp/pubs/products/cleaning.htm) to ensure that the products used in your schools are both safe and effective.
