We are the more than 28,000 members of the Nevada State Education Association. We are teachers, instructional aides, counselors, bus drivers, food servers, nurses, office assistants, custodians, paraprofessionals, librarians, and all other education employees that make a school day possible.

We band together because we have been entrusted with the education of Nevada's students—a task we take very seriously. We belong to this great state association, along with our local affiliate, and the National Education Association. We are represented at all three levels and we are active politically, in our communities, and in our own associations.

We take politics very seriously as most of what is handed down to us—from mandates to funding—come from the local, state, and federal government agencies. We are very politically active in this state and know the impact of the presence of 28,000 unified members.

We come from all walks of life and are represented in all party affiliations. We're Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, you name it! But our primary focus is to elect candidates that are committed to preserving the laws that protect our collective bargaining rights, ensuring our schools are properly funded so that we can do what we're hired to do, fighting for K-12 public schools, Nevada's teachers and support professionals, and ultimately . . . the students!

We have a professional Lobby Team in Carson City at every legislative session who works closely with lawmakers to ensure our needs are met, our goals and objectives are pursued, and our interests are protected. We have historically enjoyed the support of Nevada's citizens—of all ages. It is very important we continue to have that support especially during times like these when education funding is under attack.
